Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how CTA Express, and its affiliates (collectively “CTA”) collect, use, and disclose personal information we collect from you.  It applies to all the interactions we may have with you.   Since this Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Use and Services Agreement, it governs your use of our services (“Services”) and by using our Services, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy.

As a provider of BOI reporting services, the collection of customer’s personal information is fundamental to our day-to-day business operations.  In order for us to best provide our services to you (and to help make it feasible for us to do so), it is essential that we are able to collect and use the information as described in this Privacy Policy. This means that the data collection is largely necessary for fulfilling the business relationship we have with you, and where that is not the case, we have a legitimate interest in collecting the information described below to fulfill the services that you have contracted with us to provide and/or purchased or ordered from us.

We strive to provide you with the best customer service. To us, that includes treating your personal information fairly and with respect. Each of our employees and representatives must abide by our commitment to privacy in the handling of personal information. We understand that you may be concerned about what we will do with such information. You have a right to know how we will utilize the personal information you provide to us. Therefore, we have adopted this Privacy Policy to govern the use and handling of your personal information.

 Applicability

This Privacy Policy governs our use of the information that you provide to us. It does not govern the way we may use information we have obtained from any other source, such as information obtained from a public record or from another person or entity.

 What Information Do We Collect

We may collect the following types of information about you:

Identifying Information: We may collect information such as name, address, telephone number, email address, banking information, credit care and debit card number, social security number, driver’s license, passports, Federal Tax Identification number and other identifiers.

Business Information: We may need to collect information such as legal entity name, business entity type, officers, directors, members, managers, owners, controlling individuals and other business-related information.  

The Corporate Transparency Act mandates, that, in addition to providing the names and addresses of all beneficial owners, photographic identification in the form of a passport, state driver’s license or state-issued identification for each beneficial owner must be submitted to FinCEN.

How We Collect Your Information

We collect information about you in a variety of ways, depending on how you interact with us, including:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us.
  • Automatically using various technologies such as cookies, server logs, or similar technologies when you interact with our websites, emails, advertisements and so forth.
  • From other sources such as affiliates, select business partners, service providers, online social media networks, government entities, and/or publicly available sources of information.

 How We Use Information

The information we collect from you may be used in the following ways, subject to applicable laws:

  • To provide you with the Services you request;
  • To improve our customer service;
  • To send periodic emails and other correspondence;
  • To fulfill technical, customer and service support;
  • For billing and collection purposes;
  • To fulfill any purpose required under our Terms of Use and Services Agreement;
  • To analyze the use of our website;
  • To fulfill legal and compliance obligations;
  • To detect fraud or other suspicious activity, including violation of our policies and terms and conditions;

  • To market to individuals who are not using but may be interested in our Services;

How We Share Information

Except as disclosed herein, we do not disclose personal information to any companies not part of CTA, our affiliates, business partners, or related entities.  However, we may provide some personal information to certain trusted service providers and other third parties who assist us in conducting our business or fulfilling our Services to you, so long as long parties agree to keep this information confidential.   In no event, however, will we sell your personal information for unrelated parties to independently market to you. 

We may also release your information when required by law, such as in response to subpoenas, warrants, or court orders, or similar legal process.  We may also share your information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, to defend against a legal claim, to protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate suspected fraud, or respond to a violation of our policies. 

We may also disclose your information to government entities in order to provide the Services purchased by you.  Certain personal information may become public records when documents are filed with the federal or state government, or with a court.  This Privacy Policy does not cover these or similar third-party actions. 

We may also disclose your information to other third parties when we have your consent or direction to do so. 

How Do We Keep Your Information Secure

We will use our best efforts to ensure that no unauthorized parties have access to any of your information.  We restrict access to your personal information to those individuals and entities who need to know that information to provide the Services to you.  We will use our best efforts to train and oversee our employees and agents to ensure that your information will be handled responsibly and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  We currently maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your personal information.

If you send an electronic mail (email) message that includes personally identifiable information, we will use that information to respond to your inquiry. Remember that email is not necessarily secure against interception or other disclosure. If your communication is very sensitive, or includes information such as your bank account, charge card or social security number, you should not send it in an email.

While we use our best efforts to safeguard your personal information once we receive it, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.  In the event that we are required by law to inform you of a breach of your personal information, we may notify you electronically, in writing, or by telephone, if permitted to do so by law. 

How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Information

We retain your personal information for as long as needed to provide you Services, as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, and to comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. 

 

Third Party Applications/Websites

For your convenience, we may provide links to third party websites or include third party products or services on our website.  These third-party sites and entities have separate and independent privacy policies.  We have no direct control, responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these third-party sites and entities.       

Your Rights/Choices

You may make the following requests regarding your personal information.  However, the choices described herein are not always available.  We may limit or deny your request because the law permits or requires us to do so, the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside do not provide you with that right, or we are unable to adequately verify your identity.  We will not discriminate against individuals who exercise their privacy rights under applicable law: 

  • To request access to or a copy of your personal information; 
  • To correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • To delete your personal information;
  • To withdraw consent to our processing of your personal information;
  • To ask us to stop or start sending you marketing or promotional messages;
  • To lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
  • To know the source from where your personal information originated.

Use of Cookies

We use and allow third parties to use technologies such as cookies, pixels, media tags and/or similar tracking technologies.  These technologies collect and store information, such as browser web storage or application date caches, databases, and server logs.

Cookies are small files that a site or its server provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the site or service provider’s system to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. This facilitates the process of recalling your personal information so that when you return to our website, the information you previously provided can be easily retrieved.   The use of cookies also allows us to aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences in the future.  

If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can decline to allow cookies.  However, if you do so, some of our features may not function properly. 

Our partners and affiliates may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your activities.  The use of tracking technologies by our service providers, technology providers and other third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy.   

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time consistent with applicable privacy laws. When we amend this Privacy Policy, we will post a notice of such changes on our website.

Former Customers

Even if you are no longer our customer, our Privacy Policy will continue to apply to you.
